| With the development of the information age, college library faces the real problems of functional transformation and spatial organization evolution, and the construction of library architecture remains in an important position in contemporary architectural practice and theoretical issues. As an important type of college library and an important carrier of art education innovation, the library architecture of art colleges and universities assumes the core role of establishing the auxiliary classroom for discipline education and reshaping the spiritual and cultural center of the campus, which has triggered more attention and discussion in the academic field. The article takes this as the background and launches a research on the design strategy of library architecture function expansion in art colleges and universities in the information age.First of all,by combing the historical development of library architecture, this paper points out that although the most important function of library architecture from ancient times to the present is to provide the preservation and utilization of books,it all contains the simple desire of human beings to "gather all knowledge under the same roof";the advent of the information age,the development of information technology has brought about The advent of the information age and the development of information technology have brought about changes in the way of information services and changes in the behavior of readers, and the way of acquiring knowledge has become more diversified, and the innovative communication behavior between people has risen to a new level."These changes will inevitably lead to the transformation of library function space;on this basis, this paper examines the new representations of library architectural practices at home and abroad, including digital libraries, composite libraries and information sharing spaces, and graphic libraries. On this basis, this paper examines the new manifestations of library architectural practices that have emerged in China and abroad, including digital libraries, complex libraries and information sharing spaces, graphic information centers, media centers and learning centers,to study the changes in libraries after the introduction of new functions, which together transform libraries into integrated institutions for learning activities and creative exchanges, and place readers in the target position of library services.Secondly,on the basis of the aforementioned research, the study focuses on the library architecture of art colleges, and analyzes the opportunity to construct its own characteristics in the information age as a special type of college library: by building special collection resources, expanding the boundaries of information services, and shaping the atmosphere of art activities, the functional composition and spatial characteristics of the library architecture of art colleges are re-examined,so as to form a new type of library that meets the characteristics of the information age and the characteristics of art colleges-the innovative learning complex. The traditional functional classification is challenged, and a new type of innovative learning complex is proposed, focusing more on "learning behavior" and "art education".The traditional functional classification has been challenged, and a new classification of "Information Storage","Information Service and Consultation","Information Acquisition" and "Information Sharing and Communication" was introduced.Translated with www.Deep L.com/Translator(free version)After that, this paper analyzes the spatial organization modes required for "Information Storage","Information Service and Consultation","Information Acquisition" and "Information Sharing and Communication" through the relevant case studies at home and abroad, based on the commonality of library architecture, and digging deeper into the characteristics of libraries in art colleges. Then, this paper analyzes the required spatial organization mode of "Information Storage","Information Service and Consultation","Information Acquisition" and "Information Sharing and Communication" through the case studies at home and abroad.Among them, this paper studies the different characteristics of closed storages and open-shelf collections in "Information Storage";categorizes "Information Service and Consultation" into two modes: centralized and decentralized;explores the formation of a composite learning network in "Information Acquisition" and analyzes the different spatial forms of "individual learning space" and "collective collaboration space";thoroughly study the disciplinary characteristics of art colleges and explore the spatial requirements and spatial organization of art exhibition, academic exchange and leisure interaction space involved in "Information Sharing and Communication";and comprehensively summarize the design strategies for expanding the architectural functions of art colleges and universities in the information age. Finally, based on the proposed design strategy framework for the expansion of library functions in the information age,the project "Xiamen Academy of Arts and Crafts Library" is used as an example to discuss the comprehensive application of design strategies in the actual architectural project practice. The full text is about 50,000 words, with more than 140
