The paper discusses the concept, advantages and disadvantages, system forms of the district cooling and heating system. Meanwhile it focuses on the problems of the characteristic of heating and cooling load, optimized distributions of network of pipes, and what's more, the feasible solution of that problems are brought forward by real experimental analysis and theoretical calculation. Furthermore, the economic argument of district cooling and heating is reasoned theoretically, according to some real materials, experience statistics of some existing designs of district cooling and heating system, obtain some valuable result.
