With the development of the urbanization in the world, more and more military operations will take place in cities, and the city will become the main battlefield in the 21st century. Many countries have paid more attention to urban operation, striving for the predominance of the information of the urban operation is become the first task of every surveying and mapping institution in the world. Information technique has accelerated the construction of Urban battlefield Environment(UBE), currently, adopting Virtual-Reality(VR) technique studying on battlefield environment is become the focus of attention in research, As the groundwork of virtual UBE, the technique of UBE 3D modeling become more and more important.In this paper, we studied the constitutes of the UBE and the influence of its factors on the military operations. Besides, we applied the visual city techniques to the simulation of the UBE and finished the 3D reconstruction of the UBE. We discussed the applications of the spatial analysis to the UBE. On this foundation, we put forward the classification of the UBE spatial analysis and realized the cantonal transportation analysis, aerial defence analysis, hypo-disaster analysis, the visualization of the analysis results, the bidirectional search between the attribute data and the three-dimensional figures. As well, we designed a system, which contains a lot of functions, such as view, editor, special effect, animation and spatial analysis.
