Study Of Modern Urban Battlefield Environment

Urban area since is an important place that mankind produce with the living space, is also a military activity to carry. With the urbanization progress of world developing soon, the quantity, scale, function and quality of the modern city has taken place a great changes, the city' s function is increasingly outstanding in the modern war, more and more military clash will take place in urban area, the cities will become 21 centuries' main battlefield.Urban battlefield environment is a kind of special battlefield formed with humanities' alteration of long time, it is different from plain or mountain' s environment, the urban battlefield environment is more complicated and need a long-term research to go deep into. This paper studied the construction of the modern urban battlefield environment systematically and expatiated the military function of every sub-system. It took the research to the urban configuration of the main city in our country, discussed the military meaning of the different urban configuration and studied the city' s spatial structure and its main feature and military functions. Furthermore, the classification system of important target in city, the principle and method of important target in choice and the-protection of the important target is also the study emphases of this paper.
