CCHP is a cogeneration system that can accomplish the cooling, heating and power load at the same time by making use of both the electrical and"waste"heat output created when power is generated. In contrast to the conventional base system, it can use energy resources more efficiently, creating opportunities for reduction in both purchased energy costs and in environmental impact.Micro-CCHP system is defined as the CCHP system whose rated power capacity is less than 100kW. It is still a new field around the world. So it is very important for us to pay much attention to the studies on the system. In this paper, the micro-CCHP experimental system is developed by SJTUIRC, which uses an internal combustion engine and an adsorption chiller as the core components. And a floor of the building of SJTUIRC will be considered as the end-user. Much attention will be placed on the studies on the simulation and analysis of the year-round performance of the micro-CCHP system.Firstly, the output electricity ratio (α) and the domestic water ratio (θ) will be introduced to analyze the energy efficiency and economic efficiency of the micro-CCHP system which adds an electrical chiller as the assistant cooling source. Based on the calculation and analysis in this paper, the system will be at the optimum operational condition, whenαis equal to 0 andθis equal to 1. The primary energy rate of the system in the optimum operational condition is 1.08. In summer condition, the energy efficiency of the micro-CCHP system is higher than that of the conventional system, whenθis bigger than 0.39. For the rest time, the micro-CCHP system has higher energy efficiency.Secondly, the micro-CCHP system and the building are modelled in EnergyPlus. And the operation scheme of the system and the energy demand of the building are inputted. The system is then simulated in EnergyPlus for design days of Shanghai. The results of the simulation show the daily performance of the system, and whether the system has enough...
