Sustainable building (SB) is the implementation of sustainable development concept in building industry.With the development of theory and practice of sustainable building, its assessment has become a key issue.Lots of studies have carried out in this regard and several assessment systems for sustainable buildings have been established.Meanwhile, some problems are remained unsolved such as the determination of indicators'weights, the integration of the values of different indicators and so on.The purpose of this research is to investigate established assessment systems for sustainable buildings and improve the current assessment method.The findings will be useful in setting up and improving the SB assessment framework and help the promotion of SB in China.In this thesis, the evolution of sustainable building and its assessment is firstly reviewed, followed by a thoroughly analysis of typical assessment methods at home and abroad.A new method entitled the Comprehensive...
