There are millions of industry boilers in China, which consume great quantity of energy, because of low efficiency and unadvanced automation level. With the coming of energy crisis, the government of China strengthens the supervision on industry boiler for higher efficiency and low emission pollution. To improve automation on boiler is imperative, which will make widely the use of control system, and will make the high performance demand on control system also. However, an appropriate mathematics model on dynamic characteristic of boiler is the basis ground to design or optimize control system, becauseThis paper is mainly about identification and modeling on dynamic characteristics of industry boiler. In the first place, to make theoretical modeling on boiler, that is, to divide thermal process into some units with transfer function, and then get the system transfer function, which is mathematics model representing system dynamic characteristic. On the basic of prior knowledge, this paper uses two kinds of experimental modeling methods: step-response curve fitting and least square algorithm with pseudo-random binary signal (PRBS) as input.
