This project stems from the research on the rotating hybrid excitation synchronous generator (HESG) of high-power and wide-range and its control system. The digital voltage regulator is adopted which is generally applied now to automatic control of the output voltage of the generator and realization of constant output voltage. This system applies in the independent mobile power supply system.First, the basic structure of HESG, the magnetic circuit and operation theorem are analyzed, and the no-load and load characteristics curves of HESG are obtained. The modulation specific curves are also obtained by analyzing the running characteristics of HESG Then, the mathematical model of HESG is built on the basis of the analysis of HESG characteristics. "Via the derivation to the mathematical model, the mathematical model of HESG under rotary coordinate d-q is achieved, which provides theoretical proof to the research and design of excitation control system.Based on the analysis of HESG, the blue print of HESG with high-power and wide-range of rotating speed is raised. And its feasibility is analyzed and demonstrated from three aspects: the main part of generator, the design of the controller hardware and the design of the controller software. The control system of HESG founded on DSP is designed, which adopts fuzzy control algorithm as excitation modulation strategy.The results of simulation indicate the HESG control system founded on DSP is good in dynamic and static performance, which could provide stable, credible, high-quality and high-efficient power.
