China is a developing country and there is the most elder population in the world. When the 21^st century is coming, we are also facing the rapid growth of elder people. This thesis has analyzed the development situation and tendency of aging, the physical and psychological character as well as residential habits of the elderiy. According to our reality and consuiting beneficial experiences of other countries and areas,this thesis forecasts the problem of the elderly public building andenvironment facilities in the aging ociety, in an effort to form an effective patten for the elderly.
