The Study Of Development Of Zheng Dong New District

Zhengzhou City is the capital of Henan Province, which owns the largest population of China. It is also the major transportation and telecommunication hub of China. The core of regional development strategy in Henan Province is to promote the rising of Central Plains City Group. The essence of this strategy is to expedite the integration of regional economy and to form regional economic center. The key of this development strategy is to build Zhengzhou into the vital regional central city. According to this strategy, the municipal party committee and municipal government of Zhengzhou decide to start up the planning and construction of Zheng Dong New District.First of all, this paper has a brief review about the history of urban spatial development of Zhengzhou. Through the analysis of urban spatial present situation, the author summarizes the existing problems of urban spatial development and analyses the influencing factors of it. And then, as the result of research and analysis about the national macroscopic development strategy, the construction of Central Plains City Group and the development of regional central city of Zhengzhou, this paper attempt to probe into the necessity of Zheng Dong New District Planning. Finally, through the research of Zheng Dong New District concept planning and implement present condition of the beginning-stage district, the author analyses its influence to the urban spatial development of Zhengzhou in the future and points out the existing problems of present planning and construction. It will be a reference to the city development for the future.
