The reactive power/voltage optimization and control is the effective method and important way to boost the voltage regular rate, decrease active power loss and enhance the stability of electric power system. With the rapid development of power system and the gradual opening of electric power markets, the traditional method based on the off-line data and the mode controlled by VQC separately can not meet the demands of the modern electric corporation in evidence. Therefore, it is great of impendency and necessary to develop the reactive power/voltage optimization and control system adapt to the situation of our country.Firstly, an improved immune genetic algorithm is proposed in this paper, which can rectify the shortage of genetic algorithm converging to a local optimal solution and keep a dynamic balance between individual diversity and population global convergence. Secondly, a system combining with SCADA for on-line reactive power/voltage optimization and control is programmed by VC++ 6.0 adopting the OOT technique. And the system has standard I/O and friendly man-machine interface. Application of the system which shows effective result and guarantees the power grid operate safety and economically has significant theory worth and wide application perspective.
