At present, with the rapid development of power system, the system structure isbecoming more and more complex, so that the problems of voltage reactive power controlin power system is more and more valued by staff and research department. Most of thecurrent area of the grid using the reactive power balance principle, namely the application(VQC) this is a single compensation device to solve a particular region or substationvoltage and reactive power control. However, this method of coordination is poor, cannotrealize the whole network coordinated control, and in the one or two stage of on-loadvoltage regulation are extremely easy to occur during switching shocks.Based on the analysis of the variety of voltage and reactive power control based onthe method, the short-term load forecasting method, reactive power optimization theory isapplied to the control of reactive power and voltage, design based on improved geneticalgorithm reactive power optimization program, to make use of its advantage to reactivepower optimization. In addition, went on to study based on linear extrapolation method forshort term load forecasting, electric power load forecasting technology is introduced intothe control of reactive power. The overall scheme is first predicted the future of eachsubstation substation in a short period of time the short-term power load forecasting, theresults back to the dispatching automation system (SCADA), dispatching automationsystem using real time monitoring and data acquisition network parameters (voltage,power, power, reactive power, active power load active and reactive power etc.) function,in according to the historical data, through the flow calculation and improved geneticalgorithm for reactive power optimization, and determine the whole network fortransformer on-load tap joint gear and capacitor set number of optimal number of action,achieve the whole network coordinated control of reactive power for the purpose ofdistribution.Voltage reactive power optimization control system used for power grid, reactivepower control and the whole network safe operation and stable to provide advancedtechnical assurance, to better adapt to the power system security, stability, economic needs.At present, the system has been applied in Wulanchabu power network, after a year of use,significantly improve the voltage qualification rate, reduce the active power loss,prolonging the service life of electrical equipment, reduces the labor intensity of workers,and achieved good effect.
