Research On Automatic Voltage Control In Fieldbus Electric Control System For Power Plant

The paper mainly studies the basic principle of Automatic Voltage Control (AVC) and its conventional ways and brings forward a new scheme to complete the AVC in Fieldbus Electric Control System for Power Plant (FECS) based on IEC61131-3 international standard.The idea of the scheme is getting logic figure for AVC in power plant, building graph program, running and loading down to programmable logic controller (PLC). The PLC function which is additional function of the top management unit in FECS calculates and controls the logic program of AVC. It is introduced the system organization of FECS and analyzed the function of PLC and its programming software based on IEC61131-3. Take example for a 600MW engine of Xiangtan plant in Hunan province, the paper introduces the implementation procedure of AVC. The application project indicates that the scheme is able to effectively achieve the AVC function.
