The Electronic controlled and Electronic powered AMT system not only has the function and the characteristic which the automatic transmission requests, moreover retained the manual transmission's characteristic, such as high efficiency, low cost and easiness to manufacture, so it has a widespread prospect and superiority in the market of China. Working on the project of"Study on the shifting system of Electronic controlled and Electronic powered AMT", a new shifting system without clutch operation on the shifting control strategy is brought forward in this thesis, which is baesd on the electronic controlled engine and CAN Bus. During AMT operation, the selecting and shifting actuating mechanism are driven by a motor, the TCU(Transmission Control Unit) communicates with other control units such as ECU(Engine Control Unit) on the CAN Bus to control the speed and the torque of the engine. There is no clutch operation in the control system during the whole process.In order to do the project research well, the thesis takes the actual production as the goal, and pays proper attention to both the cost and the function of the product. The research of the power train is taken as the foundation by the modelling and simulation, with the analysis and research to the result based on.(1) With the research to the construction of the power train, the feature for the Electronic controlled and Electronic powered AMT system without clutch operation is analyzed, such as the feature of engine, electronic throttle control system and the actuating mechanism. The plan of AMT improvement, the control strategy without clutch operation and the design of the actuating mechanism are brought up. All of these are the foundation of the theoretically research.(2) First the shifting principle of the AMT system and the possibility of the shifting process without clutch operation are discussed. Then the dynamical power train model of traditional vehicle is established, and the AMT shifting process without clutch operation control strategy is brought forward and the shifting quality for the shifting process is discussed. At last a detail dynamics analysis of the shifting process without clutch operation is done.(3) A detail control strategy without clutch operation is built in Simulink and Stateflow. The control methods of fuzzy PID are mentioned, then the structure of fuzzy controller and the proper fuzzy variable membership function are selected. The engine control model is based on fuzzy PID to adjust the speed of engine. The analysis to the interface between CRUISE and Matlab is carried on, and the API pattern which is easy to carry on the debugging and the revision. Systematic response shows that the model is suitable for the simulating of shifting process without clutch operation.(4) Studying with the simulation software AVL CRUISE, the simulation model without clutch operation is built. In order to contrast the influence which produces to the shifting process, a revision with clutch operation has established the simulation in the model and control strategy.The results show the work condition curve of the engine, synchronizer and gears. Finally the simulation results were contrasted.The results show that the shifting process without clutch operation can reduce shifting time and the shock, and improve the shifting quality. At the same time, the slip friction of the clutch is reduced, and the synchronizer is avoided being damaged easily.
