Road construction in our country has improved a lot during the past ten years. The fast growth of high-class roads makes the quality-control process of roadbed and pavement better and better and also demands a higher inspection level, which means ordinary inspection can not satisfy the inspection demands of high-class road. Road Integrated Intelligent Inspection Vehicle (Intelligent Inspection Vehicle for short) is invented for this reason. Road Integrated Intelligent Inspection Vehicle is equipped with radar transmitting and receiving system, highly-precise digital video, laser-testing system, GPS and the computer data acquisition and processing system. Its functions include::1,Pavement Distress recognition;2,pavement smoothness detection;3,pavement texture detection;4,Asphalt Pavement Surface Distress detection;5,roadbed potential hazard detection;6,global positioning;7,automatic generation of road condition analysis reports .This paper focus on software part based on these hardware platform, which mainly contains: pavement scanning result pick-up, defective data base,pavement defect identifying result pick-up,real-time feedback for detect position's GPS information , relative/absolute coordinates'track simulation, road condition generation; Instruments such as C++Builder6.0,Paradox7.0For Windows Database platform are used . Borland C++ Builder is the brand-new 32 digit Windows Developing tool invented by Borland company in 1998. C++ Builder not only inherits the Delphi's characteristics of easy-use, powerful functions and high efficiency, but also combines all the merits of C++. It is the best Windows Developing tool up to now, which have a powerful function in data base developing. Borland C++ Builder used in this paper is 6.0 for enterprises。Paradox is desktop relational database promoted by Borland,which is powerful , user-friendly .It could support full-functional SQL3,and generate database and memory process through SQL language.Pavement/ roadbed scanning results pick-up: Considering different methods of roadbed potential hazard detection and pavement recognition, this paper makesuse of the pretreatment to generate ASCII code texts in the schedule form and automatically import the following data after the system initialization. Pavement/ roadbed detection is saved in the database alongside with the characteristics picture for reference. The paper introduces the arithmetic and way of realization in pavement/ roadbed detection. IOStream in C++ is used to read and control standard unencrypted ASCII code texts. Result database could be written and post-read by BDE data engine. The pre-set relationship between fields in the database could realize compound link with GPS information.Supportive database: a road defects database is built up to totally match Intelligent Inspection Vehicle, which is different from the traditional pavement management system. It is divided into 8 databases and a memory process and generated by SQL3 language in Paradox database manually. The databases include two parts: basic databases and result databases. Basic information about routes, intervals, sections and route code is saved in basic databases. Basic coding and generating methods are introduced. Meanwhile, four inter-related databases are set up to realize the memory and links of the basic data. Treated information colleting from pavement is saved in result databases with original pictures for reference. Intelligent writing of pavement searching results and writing and reading of the picture database are realized by nested database record searching.Real-time feedback for defects'position GPS information: MSComm widget is equipped and information flow is caught in short interval by event drive. This paper introduces composing and key frames of NEMA0183 protocol, According to NEMA0183 protocol,character strings are used to deal with $GPRMC frame in the information flow to gain the needed GPS information. Sorted data information is written into GPS result information databases.Database management system: Database management system is an important part of the database maintenance. This paper discusses the logical relations of data models and data reliability. Data source generated by C ++Builder and BDE engine is used to develop data maintenance module. Data inputting, modifying and record deleting and other database operation are user-friendly and efficient, timely data check-up is supported.Relative/absolute coordinates'track simulation : Absolute position coordinates are gained in GPS result information database and by comparing withthe original postion we could gain the relative coordinates in every timing spot.. After re-drawing all the coordinates in OnShow and circularly linking the dots, relative tracks are gained.Road condition generation: QuickReport widget of Borland Company combined with SQL language could generate perfect nested diagrammatic data report forms. By costumed setting, satisfactory data curves and report forms are generated automatically based on different data collecting units. Multi-report compound information searching results could be generated by reasonable use of SQL searching language. Detailed chart information, such as histogram, curve could be generated by nested use of TChartFX and BDE data searching engine. Printing group by group and other reasonable input and output can be done by controlling the printer.。The report forms support Memo field and RTF format,HTML output.Finally, intelligent pavement/roadbed management platform is built up based on Intelligent Inspection Vehicle and the various parts and main functions of the system are explained. Conclusion from research on pavement/roadbed management platform is brought forward and the future research fields are discussed as well。...
