Extenics theory was established by Cai Wen from China, which is an original cross-section science. It studied the possibility of expanding, the regularity and the appoach of inovation with formal model. It is a theory which is based on the starting point of incompatible problems. The extenics is the possibility that things can expand. With this foundation above, extenics theory brought up the the thing a transformation method, extenics evaluation method and carry on in each realm applied can engineering method of extenics.As a new cross-sectional science which studies the possibility and the regularity of expanding, Extenics theory has a significant influence on the research of Mathematics, Neotic Science, Philosophy and has abained a series of important achievements in Artificial Intelligence, Management, Controlling, Mechanics, Chinese Medicine, Designing. Currently, Extenics theory hasn't been applied to City Planning, how to combine them together still needs further study. Yet without doubt, Extenics theory has a extensive prospect of application in City Planning, especially in Global Design and it also has a great significance in the methodology of Construction Design, City Planning, Environmental Art and the relevant areas.As to City Planning, the biggest problem is the complexity and contradiction between the conditions of the planning. How to describe the perceptual conditions and the relationship between the different subjects in the complex planning system with Mathematical language, how to solve the problems of the contradictions in Planning with Mathematical approach are the primary difficulties on the research of Planning. At this time, Extenics theory gives us a revelation.Site Design is an art of the constructions on the base ground and the figuring of the space between the constructions. It is a an art which connects the Constructions, the Engineering, the Gardening and the City Planning. There are lots of problems with Global Design and it is a synthetic science, which needs combined efforts from different specialists. But in practical operations, due to different standards and way of thinking from different specialists, the design reference is mainly from the summary of the practice of the Global Design, which has lots of empirical restrictions. Extenics theory brought up the dissipate of the tree, divide and combine the chain, related net, contain the department, the total yoke design method and logic of the on an equal footing reasonableness of design procedure, and pointed out the creativity of born point out to inside for the creation of the innovation, based on the scientific knowledge of a transformation of thing, passing a transformation, standard transformation of thing and talking about the area transformation etc. method. We can create extenics design appoach through the application of the principals of the Extenics theory. We also meet lots of contradictions in Site planning. Extenics theory brought up the standard transformation and through change into the antinomy compatible, change into opposition coexistence, it converted the contradictions into compatibilities and the antinomy into coexistence. Taking standard transformation as a example, contradiction is defined by some rules. We can break the original limitation to solve the problem through transformation, which is the new analysis, transformation and definition on the rules of the objects.
