The ammonium tetramolybdate is a kind of main materials from which we can manufacture the molybdenum power. The quality of the ammonium tetramolybdate are directly relevant to the fabrics and properties of molybdenum products. In this paper , the effects of factors about pH, ultrasonic time, original concentration, reaction temperature, mixing speed, dispersant, drying temperature and time during the technics to the granularity of ammonium tetramolybdate produced are researched. Through the analysis of result on single factor experiments and the orthogonality experiment, it is concluded the better preparation conditions were: original concentration 0.12mol/L; acetone 10mL; reaction temperature 40°C; drying temperature 75°C; ultrasonic time 30min; ultrasonic frequency 40KHz, ultrasonic power 60W,mixing speed 75r/min; drying time 9h. With these better experiment technological conditions, the average grain size of ammonium tetramolybdate obtained was 90nm.
