The structural system of the short-leg shear wall, which has the advantage of the frame structure and the shear- wall structure, is a new architectural structure. The short-leg shear wall which has reasonable architectural function, structural performance and project cost, and has been the common structural system of the high-rise housing, is popular in the developers and house-owners. Currently, there is not a uniform method for current design whose theory is unripe in the structural regulation. Especially there should be a thorough study in the nonlinear analytical method of the mechanics models. The author will study and research on these sides.Firstly, this paper refers to the modified MVLE model basing on the parametric variational principle, which gets rid of plane - section assumption in the existing MVLE model and considers the effect of shear-lag and shear deformation by introducing the new cross displacement function.Secondly, this paper inducts the parametric variational principle in a creative way. The analysis methods of high-rise housing short leg shear wall basing on the parametric variational principle and the formulations of structural nonlinear analytical method are provided in this paper. This analytical model can relatively be true to reflect the non-linear working performance of short leg shear wall by a numerical example analysis. The author establishes shear-wall element formulas basing on the parametric variational principle. The feasibility of this method has been verified. Application of this method improves computational accuracy degree and computational speed.Thirdly, restoring force vector in nonlinear analytical equation and restoring force model of vertical-line and coupling beam are probed. For vertical-line restoring force model, the influence of stress are considered, which make deformation and stiffness of the model rational. The parametric variational principle, considering infinite rigidness break point constitutive law, provides an new effective method of accurate research of short-leg shear wall in material nonlinearities.Finally, space stiffness matrix of T-shape, L-shape and "一" -shape short-leg shear wall is devised by the parametric variational principle. Transfer matrix from local coordinate to whole coordinate which is necessary to structure whole analysis is deduced.
