With the development of information technology and construction industry, the construction industry needs a common application model, at the same time, the Building Information Modeling has emerged as the times require. BIM can solve all kinds of problems which were encountered in the traditional design of various errors or omissions In the BIM model, the entire building model and the whole design file are stored in an integrated database, all of which are parameterized and interrelated. The construction industry in China has gradually changed from the relationship to the competitiveness of technology, service, ability to change, the new building model with the main feature of new construction structure and the "Internet +" will become the mainstream of the construction route in the future.In this paper, using BIM software Revit’ powerful parametric modeling function and the opening two development database to make thorough study of the shear wall structure system in the most complex edge of the design of the reinforcement design of the reinforcement. And the parametric model of edge component was put forward, the Satwe calculation results were extracted, and the selection of the edge component was optimized. At last, the results will be applied to practical engineering. The main contents are as follows:On the basis of full understanding of architectural structure design codes, a parametric model of Revit family of shear wall was proposed combining with design experience and the REVIT modeling features, which is used to develop the Revit parametric modeling plug-in.According to the characteristics of the reinforcement in the shear wall, the parametric design model of the edge member was proposed, and the corresponding Revit reinforcement model is developed.The layout of the building structure and Satwe calculation results for the identification of 2D CAD graphics were studied. Automatic formation of shear wall edge member parameter and reinforcement demand was developed according to the results of the identificationThe optimization of the reinforcement of the edge in the shear wall and the optimal design of the reinforcement of the edge in the shear wall structure based on BIM were studied.The results show that, the design of the structure of the shear wall structure with multi software platform is feasible. And the BIM visualization, coordination, information sharing and other characteristics are integrated into it, and the fast output of the model is realized by the analysis model, and the results can be visualized, so the expected results have all achieved.
