Studies On Urban Land Use Based On Transport Pattern

The municipal transportation problem at all times puzzles the developed industry countries. Since our country enters 1980th, urban trade and social activities have been prospering in urban area day by day. Along with this, transportation problem in cities is getting more and more deteriorated, particularly in large cities. The serious transportation problem results in misuse of urban land. The unreasonable land use correspondingly causes the transportation problem to be even more serious. Thus the transportation problem and the improper land use fall into a vicious circle.In order to alleviate the above-mentioned contradiction, this paper takes the municipal transportation system pattern and the land utilization pattern as a tool to study the pattern of urban land use which is based on the transportation system pattern. This paper introduces the basic theory of municipal transportation system pattern and land utilization. Also it introduces the related concepts and research technique. From the interrelation of the municipal transportation system pattern and the land utilization, this paper proposes an ideal conformity of transportation pattern and urban land use structure. Three kinds of mature theories about the influence of transportation pattern on urban land use are introduced. Land use and layout pattern based on different kinds of transportation pattern is put forward. At last Xi'an is taken as an example to analyze the effect of "the square grid + ring-like + emission " transportation system pattern on land utilization.
