Application On Ancient Village Preservation And Research With Information Technology

The present situation of ancient village heritage preservation in China is introduced and the successful experiences of some developed countries in heritage protection analyzed. Based on the feature of ancient village investigated, the information system rudiment of the ancient village CRM (Cultural Resource Management) is established . Thoroughly studying on ArcGIS Geodatabase, the space database has been established combining CASE (VISIO) and UML. Author establishes the information model with technology based on combination of SketchUp and ArcGIS, and analyzes its superiority and insufficiency; Moreover, this article attempts to build the information modeling of ancient architecture with BIM (Building Information Modeling) concept and REVIT software. Finally, this article carries on the application analysis, the information spatial query and the spatial analysis.
