The CPU of most microprocessor-based protection device at present is 16 bit Single Chip Micyoco, because of the slow speed, it is hard for the Single Chip Micyoco to realize the more complex protection function. In addition, the software design is based on the assembly language and traditional linearity programme flow chart, which makes against hardware maintenance and upgrade , etc. After analyzing and absorbing the advanced experience and technology of current microprocessor protection device, the paper bring forward a kind of microprocessor line protection device based on ARM and embedded RTOSμC/OS-II.The hardware adopts ARM and MCU as double CPU configuration. It uses the ARM processor LPC2292 made in Philips Company as control kernel to realize the protection, measure and communication function. Besides, using the P89C668H SCM to complete the man-machine interface. The software design is based on the embedded RTOSμC/OS-II. After introducing some basal concept ofμC/OS-II, the paper emphasizes its naturalization to LPC2292. And then, the software part presents the protect configuration and arithmetic, moreover, it introduces the task partition and the design of the application in detail.The microprocessor protection device mentioned in this paper is novel from the angle of collectivity scheme and design idea. The result indicates the scheme satisfies the basal request of protection.
