The Distribution Automation System is an information management system based on computer technology , automation control technology, data communication technology and correlative electric power system technology .Being the important unit of the Distribution Automation System, the Distributed Transformer Terminal Unit namely TTU ,samples real-time data of DAS(Distribution Automation System) like Voltage and Current etc ,and realize to supervise the action of transformer ,so it guarantee the security of DAS. At the same time ,for better using ,TTU must have function of reactive power compensation control.This paper is mainly based on the study of Transformer Terminal Unit based on two CPUs of M SP430F149, The work of this paper introduces: first , the design of the hardware system SPI communication between two CPUs ,LCD display and program of reactive power compensation .later ,Discusses the implementation of the communication protocol: Q/GDW 130-2005.This TTU does well in such sides as :real-time data sampling and processing, LCD displaying ,Automatic reactive power compensation control, supporting standard communication protocol...
