With the rapid development of national economy, the construction speed of railways, highways and hydro projects become more and more quickly, thus resulting in more and more artificial slopes, so the engineers will face up more problems on landslide disposal.As a practically effective retaining structure, the pre-stressed anchor cable pile retaining wall has been widely applied to side slope prevention engineering.However , the theoretical study falls far behind engineering application.Based on the high steep slope project in Kun-Luo Road, detailed analyses, which focus on the anchoring mechanism and bearing and deforming behavior and evaluating anchoring effect of the pre-stressed anchor cable pile retaining wall ,have been made in this paper.The pre-stressed anchor cable pile retaining wall structure, of which the longest pile is as long as 25.32m, is applied to the Kun-Luo Road vertical high slope project in KunMing.Test component elements such as anchor cable meters, bar meters and earth pressure cells are arranged in the longest piles(No.30 and No.32).According to the data deriving from 18 months' monitor, the pre-stressing loss features of anchors and the change trend of anchor axial force with time are demonstrated and conclude the new change laws of earth pressure under the combination actions of pre-stressed cables and retaining piles.From the monitor data, it also describes influences of the pre-stress to the internal force change and problems on choosing reasonable pre-stress, and analyzes the effects of pre-stress on displacement of piles which is normal to road course.On the basis of looking up a large number of documents, it detailedly introduces principles and features of the geotechnical centrifugal model test, the development of the centrifuge and its applications at home and abroad, and it analyzes the error of centrifugal model test in several aspects.Taking the vertical high slope in Kun-Luo Road as prototype, two groups model tests are designed to study the stress and deformation characteristics of the pre-stressed anchor cable pile retaining wall, one of which simulates the deformation failure process of slope that is excavated without retaining structure and the other of which simulate the deformation failure process of slope supported by pre-stressed anchor cable pile retaining wall.In this group, limited by test level, the pre-stress isn't exerted on the model, but the model is more dangerous than the prototype.The test analysis has taken this into account.The model proportion is designed in 1:60.In addition, the design and operation of the centrifugal model test are described in details in this paper.In the end, based on the results of field test and centrifugal model test, summarizes the anchoring mechanism and bearing and deforming behavior and the safety of the pre-stressed anchor cable pile retaining wall, and gives some constructive views to similar projects.
