| Two mainly aspects was studied on the development of reverse engineering of automobile strips.The first is Cloud-points data pre-processing and Three-dimension modeling.Cloud-points data pre-processing and the reconstruction of curves and surfaces are the key technology of reverse engineering. Although UG software has the formidable function on reconstruction modeling of curves and surfaces, UG is so complicated that operators can not master it in the short time. Furthermore. UG is lack of the module of cloud-points data pre-processing. The other members in our team have already realized the modules of cloud-points sorting and reducing and filtering, but they have not solved the problem which is feature-line extraction. So it is put forward the topic that developing the module of feature-line extraction in UG platform by VC++. The system enhances efficiency and precision of reverse engineering in UG modeling module. In certain degree, it optimizes functions of reverse engineering in UG modeling module with the certain practical value.The second is the manufacturing of automobile strip sample. In order to validate the design, it is necessary to make the rapid prototype of automobile strip. The process includes many related factors, technologic plans and parameters of rapid prototypes manufacture and RTV silicon rubber tools manufacture and rapid samples pouring. So the paper indicates technologic plans and the amended plan of rapid sample pouring based on the modification of CAD model, which enhances the successful rate of rapid sample pouring. It offers an effective way of the cycle shortening and cost reducing and reliability providing by the massive experiments and the analysis research with a higher practical value.The principal research works are listed as follows:1. The menus of spline-curve fitting and spline-surface fitting are developed by VC++ and UG/Open Menuscript in UG.2. The integration of the modules of cloud-points feature-line extraction and UG is realized by VC++ and UG/Open API. and the display of cloud-points feature-line extraction and three-dimension modeling reconstruction is realized in the interface of UG.3. The technologic plan for the experiments of rapid prototype analysis and formulation.4. The manufacture technology and shrinkage of rapid sample on reverse engineering is studied, and the methods are put forward that compensating the size of rapid sample of automobile strip based on the modification of CAD model, and confirms its feasibility by the orthogonal experimental technique, providing the manufacture precision of rapid sample. |
