On the basis of present research results home and abroad and according to the present research situation in our country, this paper makes a lot of indoor and outdoor tests and researches primarily recycled technique on the spot of old cement stabilized macadam bases using cement as stabilizing agent. There are many old ways need repaired and rebuilt every year in our country, most of which are needed to repair from cement stabilized macadam bases. The traditional constructing way is digging away the old cement stabilized macadam bases, carrying the scrap away and rebuilding new ones. This way generates a lot of cement stabilized macadam scrap which takes up a great deal of lands, pollutes the surrounding environment, and with the use of new materials, wastes resources and makes soil and water loss because of exploring stones. Taking recycled technique on the spot not only reuses cement stabilized macadam scrap, saves raw materials and reduces costs, but also is an effective measure protecting environment and according with law of continuous development, which shows obvious economic and social benefits.First, this paper discusses deeply the highway performances(including mechanical property, stability, contractility, anti-fatigue and durability) of cement stabilized macadam base of old roads and recycled aggregate, the structure of recycled aggregate and theories of cement stabilized macadam mixture ratio design. Second, this paper analyzes the changing rules of recycled cement stabilized macadam with the cement dosage, maintenance period and testing temperature. Third, this paper discusses the perfect recycled mixture ratio design while using cement stabilized macadam scrap as recycled aggregate to pave roadbeds through analyzing mechanical theories. The results of indoor tests show that the design satisfies the relative needs of highway performances.Through the testing road construction and following inspection, and the analysis of the formation of cement stabilized macadam recycled structure intension, this paper at last concludes that the structure base formed by recycled cement stabilized macadam can be used in the bottom base of arterial roads and in the base of secondary roads, and puts forward some suggestion for further study.
