YangZhou with other national historic cities is also facing the antinomy of protection and development, Carrying on the historic city protection and water resource utilization to solve this antinomy is put in front of city decision maker and the public.This paper emphasizes to analyze the evolution process of Yangzhou historic city and the relationship between it and city water system, On basis of these,the paper carries on the analysis of the present waterfront landscape of Yangzhou city,The paper analyzes the characteristic of the waterfront landscape of Yangzhou from the relationship of water-culture and water landscape,the kinds of waterfront landscape, waterfront landscape's position and function in the city landscape system. Find out its cultural content, and further put forward the design mode of the waterfront landscape with special features of Yangzhou city. Use this as theories instruction, the paper analyzes three typical fulfillment case of waterfront landscape design and construction of Yangzhou city in recent years, Sung clips city wetly park, Jinghang canal(Jiangyang-bridge—Yangzhou-bridge) segment, ancient canal cultural park. For these cases the paper carried on going deep into introduction and analyze, finally summed up the existent problem and shortage of the waterfront landscape design and construction.
