A full-scale study on the performance of automotive HVAC blower, including theoretical analysis and numerical study is carried out in this thesis. Both the theoretical analysis and CFD method are introduced and validated by experimental data, which indicates that the CFD model matches the test results more, thus, a numerical design platform which incorporates parametric modeling, CFD modeling and post processing is derived for automotive-HVAC-blower design. This platform will significantly improve the design efficiency and economy in the field of fans and blowers if popularized.
