As the quickly development of the mobile communication, the handset is becoming the popular consumption goods. When we use handsets, the antenna is very closely to our hands, so the electromagnetic radiation which generates by handset interacts with human body, which has inevitable potential hazard to human. Therefore, research the electromagnetic radiation of the handset antenna and its shielding are the important themes of the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), which also factually guide designing of the mobile telephone and selection about the handset antenna.Numerical emulation of the handset antenna electromagnetic radiation and its shielding is a complex calculation electromagnetic field problem. This problem can't solve by analysis, and the numerical emulation comes to be the main method. It is appropriate to use the method of Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) to carry through this research, considering the complexity about the system and the boundary which we research.The aim of this paper is to study the handset antenna electromagnetic radiation and its shielding through the numerical emulation method. The main works are as follow:1. Study and research the basic principle of FDTD; research the three kind of absorbing boundary which are Mur second-order and Berenger & Gedney match wholly layer; study and research selection about the coefficient of dielectric surface electromagnetism.2. Creation facilities program about the FDTD method, use monopole antenna and PIFA antenna model to examine and certify; study and research the slim-line calculation of FDTD, use this method to establish the model of the numerical emulation electromagnetic radiation about monopole antenna and also do illustration emulation.3. Establish the fine grid construction of human hand model and handset model, to compute the electromagnetic radiation of monopole antenna handset; based on these, setting different shields, study the electric field and SAR distribution inner the model of human head, and the shielding effectiveness.4. In the calculation proceeding, use extrapolation which is suitable for the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD), get the format extrapolation of FDTD, and use the electric dipole radiation in three dimension space to test the extrapolation method; establish the model of the numerical emulation electromagnetic radiation about monopole antenna using this method and also do illustration emulation.5. Study the conductor fine arithmetic, and the characteristic of PIFA. Establish FDTD model of PIFA antenna, to compute the EM radiation of PIFA handset in near area;...
