Base-isolation is one of anti-seismic design methods which develop fast in recent years. By allocating isolated equipment between the bottom of structure and the top of the foundation, which absorbs and dissipates the earthquake energy to reduce earthquake wave forward upper structures ,thus deeply reduces the responses of structures.At present, a large amount of work about base-isolation has been done by many home and abroad researches and a lot of isolated structures have been built, as well as some theoretic and design methods about isolated structure were put forward. At the same time, lots of aspects still need to fulfill due to the casualty of earthquake and the complicity of damp mechanism, especially the theory how to superiority the parameters of isolated system. By adopting the plane and space base-isolated structures elastic-plastic step-by-step integration program in the paper, lots of research on earthquake response characteristics and parameters of building structures isolated system has been done. the major achievements are summarized as follows:â‘ A plane base-isolated structure elastic-plastic step-by-step integration program is compiled as well as an interface about this program is established which is convenient to operate. By adopting the program, Rubber isolated structures'earthquake response characteristics and rules are researched and analytical results compare between step-by-step integration results of isolated structures and step-by-step integration results of traditional anti-seismic structures, which explicit the superiority of isolated structures.â‘¡By adopting special calculated model, Building structures isolated system is analyzed and calculated, comparison with the result from plane model is done. By introducing unilateral, bidirectional, three directional earthquake waves, the 3D earthquake response characteristics of isolation system are achieved.â‘¢By adopting the elastic-plastic step-by-step integration program, the influence of isolation system period ,isolation system damp ratio, structure damp ratio, ground motion frequency and bilinear resistant force and hysteretic curve parameters on isolated performance is researched, as well as optimizing design of base-isolated structures parameters.â‘£On the basis of the work which has been done, some advice about base-isolated structures is put forwards.
