Building energy efficiency is not only the important content of building sustainable development , but also the trend and need of world. With rapid developing of economics and upgrading of quality of life, comfortable air conditioning buildings are quickly popularized, which leads to wide-range increase of air conditioning energy consumption. As an energy-hungry developing country, high air conditioning energy consumption will certainly confine the regional economical development and restrict increase of people's lives standard. Thus improving thermal characteristics of building envelope construction becomes hot subjects which need to be settled as quickly as possible.The window, wall, roof and floor are the four important parts of building envelope construction. And the window has the worst capacity of keeping warm and insulating against heat, from which there are most heat losing. Thus the window is one of the most important factors of building energy consumption. It's the most important instrument to building energy efficiency, taking some methods of energy efficiency to windows.The clue of this dissertation is: investigating the use of building's window in Chongqing; analyzing the effect which the structural materials of window gives to the building energy consumption; analyzing the relationship of performance of window and the building energy consumption; analyzing the relationship of performance of window and the building energy consumption with computer simulation method; giving some effective measure and advice to the energy efficiency window design in Chongqing.Firstly, the author investigated the use status of building's window in Chongqing now and found that so much window design took some disadvantages to the building energy efficiency, and there were large energy consumption. Although some new buildings were better, some phenomena with big window and using materials which is no energy efficiency exist at large for the marketable driving.Based on the complete analyzing of the structure and materials of window, analyzed the effect of window's thermal characteristics and structure with the building energy consumption, and took some advice to choose the energy efficiency window. Then, the author located some relationship between windows and building energy consumption, though expounded the application of sunshade technology in this area.Moreover, the author analyzed the relationship between the window's primary performance (area ratio of window to wall, window heat transmission coefficient, sunshade coefficient and Orientation of windows) and the building energy consumption with computer simulation software Doe2IN. And made sure the importance of them. That is: window heat transmission coefficient> area ratio of window to wall> Orientation of windows> sunshade coefficient. And the author analyzed the relationship between bay window and the building energy consumption with academic method.At last, According to the local climatic features, gave some effective measure and advice to the energy efficiency window design in Chongqing, brought the building designers some simple and intuitionistic measure for window design.The consequences of this dissertation are kind of replenishment of window's energy efficiency material theories and contribute proofs for scientific and accurate design of building's window.
