Heart disease is one of the most prevalent diseases to endanger people's lives.ECG(Electrocardiograph) is an important warrant for diagnosing heart disease. It isproved that the most effective way for treating heart disease is to prevent and toprotect from the clinical medicine practices. Heart disease is paroxysmal, so thepatients repose impossibly in hospital for a long time. But they need to ward real-time,so it is very important to develop a portable ECG monitor.A portable ECG monitor based on ARM7 is designed in this paper, and itconsists of ECG signal acquisition and ECG signal processing. The data acquisition iscomposed by signal adjusting circuit, anti-interference filter circuit and ADconverting circuit. Its function is to adjust the lower signal to obtain the valuableanalog ECG signal, which is processed by MCU. The ECG signal processing includesECG display, ECG storage and ECG replay. Its core is a microcontroller LPC2124 oflow cost and low power ARM7 by NXP.Hardware and software of a portable ECG monitor are designed, and transient analysis and AC analysis are accomplished for analog circuit with PSpice and codesare simulated for MCU circuit with Proteus. So it improves design efficiency andreduces cost. It is proved that ECG signal acquisition, ECG display, ECG storage andreplay are realized by system debug, and achieve prospective target.
