In rencent year, with the worse and worse crisis of energy sources and the increasing of people's consciousness of environment protection, people think the development of EV has been more and more important and it was also important items of our country. So, with the development of embedded technology and computer network, how to apply the advanced technology to the central display system of the automobile field has become more and more important.In the embedded central display system of automobile, the datas such as speed, temperature, which are received by serial port, are progracessd by the embedded operation system. The system uses ARM processor to design the display interface, implement the display of the data and graphics. And the system can also communicate between the man and machine.For the platform of the embedded central display system of automobile, research is done in the domain of embedded Linux, real-time operation system and the embedded graphical user interface. And the platform of embedded central display system of the automobile is accomplished.The Samsung's S3C2410 processor is selects as CPU, and based on the embeded Linux operation system, MiniGUI is used to program the process of information, receive the data from the serial port. The display system can show the current information, such as the speed, the charge of the battery, in time, and implement the man-machine conversation through the touch screen.The main research contents of the project are(1) The whole design project of the system is presentd, include the platform of hardware—the selection of CPU, LCD, and touch screen, the platform of software—discusses the selection of embedded operate system and graphical user's interface,(2) The foundation of program environment is introduced. The part includes the setup of the embedded operation system, the cross compiler, MiniGUI, and the foundation of NFS. (3) Configure the kernel and root system.(4) It introduces the design of man-machine interface of mobile display system, the implementation of software. According to the character of param from the automobile and the application of the display system, this part presents the program of MiniGUI, the application of controls.(5) The implement of data transfer and the message of MiniGUI are described. This part includes the implement of software about the communication of serial port, the man-machine conversation using the touch screen, it also includes the message of MiniGUI.(5) The cross compilation and download of programme are described.
