Most of concrete bridges are turning old,at the same time the design standard and loads are raising continuously with time. So the old bridges have been put forward to consolidate for using continuously. Side-bonded with steel plates consolidates to the structural of reinforced concrete that is a new and efficiency technology of consolidation and restoration, it is convenient,efficiency and applicability consolidation structure. But the shear strengthening and force mechanism of side-bonded with steel plate reinforced concrete beams is waiting for system research. By selecting the actual bridge engineering as the research object, the following research work by means of many research methods, such as theory of reinforced concrete structural design, the theory of static and dynamic finite element,non-linear finite element method, and indoor experiment and so on, is carried out such as:1. We use the software of ADINA to build the model of side-bonded with steel plates reinforced concrete beams, calculate, analyze and compare with the test result. The analysis results show the shear strengthening of side-bonded with steel plates reinforced concrete beams can be forecasted and simulated accurately on the basis of reasonable finite element numerical model. At the same time, the numerical research work may be a reference for the further research.2.A formula of rectangle section consolidated is deduced and be validated by the result of the experiment.3.A formula of T section consolidated is deduced. It lay a foundation of the design of the beam bridge's consolidation.4.By selecting the actual bridge engineering as the research object, the stressed-process of the T section bridge is simulated analyzed by means of ANSYS static and dynamic finite element method. Finite element simulation analysis can replace the whole bridge test-analysis method in some way. It can also test if the consolidated and upgrade project can be carried out.
