At present,cement-soil mixing pile is extensively used in railway, highway, municipal, harbor, architecture engineering. Its treatment technique is tended to be more nature and perfect. CFG pile and PTC pile are excessively applied in soft clay ground treatment of architecture engineering. Along with rapid developing of society and economy, the quantity of expressway built on soft clay subgrade is increasing day by day. At the same time, varieties complex geological condition is met constantly. CFG pile and PTC pile were drawn into highway construction field. Furthermore, it already made better consolidation effect after construction practice for a long time.Lian-yan expressway is located in Huang Sea coast, where the soft clay layer is wide-ranging distributed, geological circumstance is extremely complicated. The quantity of soft clay subgrade treatment engineering is very large. Four consolidation methods, guniting cement powdered mixing pile, guniting cement mortar mixing pile, CFG pile and PTC pile, are applied in this project at the same time. This paper is based on the application of the four methods, analyzing its consolidation principle, its construction technique and quality controlling means, the testing data. It is from four aspects, which are application condition, construction technique, consolidation effect and economy, studying applicable method for different geological circumstance. The conclusion will be important for the design and construction of soft clay subgrade in this region.
