With the help of bioflocculation and biosorption, pollutants in the waste water are removed by activated sludge which is then reactivated in the oxygen-rich environment, thus strengthening the effect of primary treatment. The process avoids the secondary pollution caused by the addition of other materials to enhance the treatment effects. Therefore the green circulation of fiocculant is created. In order to maintain the stable effluent and accumulate experiences, the pilot-scale process unit was run with efforts. The removal of total CODCr and SS reached 63.8% and 78% respectively, the average concentration of effluent CODCr and SS was 58.6 and 37mg/L respectively. The effluent results well met the National Standard. The function of bioflocculation and biosorption is the key of the process. The sludge produced by the pilot-scale process was studied by designing and carrying batch experiment in the laboratory. The cultivation in the small-scale experiment was carried in the purpose of exploring a way to produce predominant bacterial culture.
