Design And Implementation Of GIS-based Fire Information Support System

The core of fire control is to protect the country and ensure the safety of the people's life and possessions effectively. Information technology has changed the way people live and also changed the managing mode and process of fire control. The primary application of GIS contributes greatly to the force assignment and command of fire fighting.This essay analyses the fire control directing system based on current GIS, pointing out problems existing in the current system,combining fire fight troops be extinguishing fire and robbing insurance rescue the actual need of the work,designes and Implementates GIS-based Sanya fire Information Support System.In the design in system, the general function completed existing fire fight conductor system,such as the map searching, attribute search, eagle eye,the most short-circuit path analysis etc. On these foundation, the system carried on innovation and improvement to several followings.In designing the system, I have mainly innovated and improved the directing system in the following ways besides its original functions. First, I have managed to make scientific assignment of fire fighting forces by researching the latest domestic force assigning mode. Second, combined with the force directing and assigning needs, the way of the best route application is improved. Third, information support is given to the directors in putting out fires and rescuing . Besides, functions can be realized such as in the division of guarding areas, the simulating map of fire extinguishing and rescuing, calculating support and the blue print of tactics to improve GIS applying in the fire control. Based on VB and Map Object( low cost, easy to exploit and excellent in currency), the system emphasizes its application and likely improvement to provide feasible blue print for its update and actual use.
