| The ship handling simulator, which could simulate the environment of the three-dimensional ocean and the operation that is similar to the real ship, can shorten the training period sharply and is widely used in the area of navigation education and crewman training. The software design of the visual simulation system, which determines the degree of truth and the results of ship handling, is the key of the research on the ship handling simulator.The title of this thesis is Research on Visual Simulation of the Ship Handling Simulator. From a software designer's viewpoint, the software system of visual simulation, which simulates and drives the 3D ocean scene, was modeled visually by UML(Unified Modeling Language). There are three main aspects of content in this thesis as following:Firstly, the hardware and software subsystem of the ship handling simulator were analysed, and the function of visual simulation software system was also discussed;Secondly, based on UML and Rose, the visual simulation software system was modeled visually from two aspects of static and dynamic modeling mechanism separately;Thirdly, through visual modeling by UML, the design of visual simulation software system which utilized the visual simulation software—Vega and the linking environment—VC++6.0 was accomplished. The five channel view was established with 180 degrees horizontal angle of view. The result of the system achieved good visual effects. |
