Research On The Simulation Credibility Assessment Of Ship Handling Simulator

Ship handling simulator plays an important role in the construction of harbors, fairways and ship sailing through simulating ship navigation and berthing operations in a variety of sea conditions, to provide demonstration and guidance for the related projects. Ship Handling Simulator belongs to simulation systems. The availability of the result of simulation, will directly affect the series of application and the decision-making process. Therefore, only to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the simulation, the simulation results have the value of the practical application. How to assess the credibility of the simulation system is an issue cannot be ignored. The research of ship handling simulator simulation’s credibility, contribute to more targeted research ship handling simulator to improve performance, and can provide a reference for relevant argument, effectively increase the value of applications.Based on the ship handling simulator system, from the perspective of the overall simulation system, access to a lot of literature, reference to the simulation credibility in military navigation and other simulation systems, and consult relevant experts to research the simulation’s credibility. Firstly, this paper analyzes the history and status of the simulation system credibility assessment work at home and abroad. Then provides the concept and nature of simulation credibility; summarizes the principles of assessment and several key issues. Secondly, based on the characteristics of ship handling simulator, chooses the fuzzy hierarchy comprehensive evaluation method for the assessment of the credibility of the simulation, and provides in detail the process of the evaluation method. Then, the paper applies this method to evaluate the credibility of ship handling simulator, and ultimately gets the credibility of evaluation simulation system. Finally, the research work is summarized. It summarizes the results of this study, analyses the disadvantage of the current work, and proposes the nest research directions.
