Study Of Intelligent System For The Setting Calculation Of Relay Protection On Local Power Network

To solve the problem that the tedious and the long-time work of the relay protection calculation, an intelligent system of relay protection calculation combined with database is introduced in this paper. The system is composed of the following four modules, topology analysis, short current calculation, the searching of the break point set, relay protection calculation, the system predigests the workload of the relay protection engineer, settles the matter of the coordination between the protective relays,solve the setting and the calculation of the T connection. Based on the Visual Basic 6.0 combined with Ms-access, the software of relay protection calculation is exploited, the parameters in power network, the parameters of the relay protection and the setting value management system are established, too. The system is a whole integer, and it is easy to be operated. It is worth to be extended in setting calculation of relay protection in the local power system.
