Nowadays, education can be offered by various communication media and networks.The wide application of Internet and other communication facilities enables education global.The remote experiment teaching is an important element in the whole distance learning. Withdeveloping of the computer and network technology, Internet has already become anindispensable in our daily life, working and studying in recent years, which is continuousdeveloping and perfecting. Remote experiment and control are no longer a dream either bymeans of Internet. In the remote experiment teaching, the virtual laboratories or remotelaboratories are necessary to do experiments from long distances. Virtual experiment methodsin the virtual laboratories at present are remote control experiment and simulation experiment.The experiment method which can observe the experimental process of the true apparatusdirectly is the remote control experiment. So, it is the best route to carry on the remoteexperiment through Internet.The main works of this thesis are as follows:On the base of analyzing the development status quo of remote experimental, the designproposal of Web-based PLC remote laboratory is proposed according to the request of thedesign.The system structure, hardware and software have been designed according to the designproposal and the actual request. PLC experiment system is designed, which include PLC andsimple mechanical movement equipment. By means of CP343-1 IT, a communication module,PLC experiment system, server and Internet are connected into one network. By studying onremote experiment system and the method, the experiment system and it's homepage forexperiment guide are completed.The following problems have been solved in the thesis. Using S7-300, PLC systemproduced by Siemens, and CP343-1 IT, communication module, build a network forexperiment. A network server is adopted to program for PLC and communicate with PLC. Anetwork camera is applied to observe experimental process. A virtual control consoleinterface in CP343-1 IT is programmed to control PLC and to do the PLC experiment. The test shows that the anticipated design request is achieved and the remote PLCexperiment can be realized, which give an experimental method for the distance learning.
