Experiment teaching,as an integral part of many disciplines,has an irreplaceable role in learning and understanding the knowledge for students.It is more practical,flexible and visual than the pure theoretical teaching.Therefore,the experimental teaching is indispensable.However,because of the traditional laboratory having many shortcomings such as fixed time,place and equipment constraints,the experimenter can only operate the digital equipmentrather thancontrol the real experimental equipmentalthough the network virtual laboratory has some improvementsto the traditional laboratorytoday.In order to solve this problem,this paper proposes a network experimental teaching method that experimenter can control the real experimental equipment remotely.Based on the experimental equipment of centrifugal pump performance test,this paper has set up an experiment system of remote control about centrifugal pump performance test.Remote experimenter can control the live centrifugal pump's parameter remotely and complete the online experiment through the Internet.At the same time,remote experimenter can also watch the real-time image through the client browserand record and download the data by the database system.The remote control experiment system of centrifugal pump has the characteristics of real-time,quick and effective response to remote operation of the experimenter.The design of the experiment system based on the basic principle of remote control and B/S mode,proposing adesign schemewhich has three layers architecture.In the aspect of software technology,the experiment system utilizes Active Server Page technology,Macromedia Dreamweaver technology and Visual Basic technology to developcomprehensively.In order to avoid conflicts which are caused by multi-user access effectively,the server design a kind of queuing and experimenting algorithm.In terms of the functions of the experiment system,mainly including user login,online booking,speed and flow control,data acquisition and recording,automatic grading,output experiment's result,monitoring and alarm modules,remote users can be able to complete the experiment independently and conveniently.In addition,the experiment system also addedsome security research methodssuch as leakage protection,instrumentation interlocking and pressure alarmto ensure the experiment can be completed safely and smoothly.When the design is completed,the experiment system has achieved the expected goal basicallyafter debugging and running.The running results show that the remote user can control the live experiment equipmentremotely,change the parameters of the centrifugal pump,obtainits related data,draw the experiment curve,record and download the experimental dataat the same time.This remote control experiment system has changed the current situation of experimental teaching,providing greatly convenient for students to experiment,and has a good experimental effect which is suitable for the remote experiment teaching of colleges and universities.
