Evaluation And Design Of Ecological Community

With the development of economy and society, human had more requirements for the living community: community should not only provide inhabitation but also the healthy and comfortable living condition. Meanwhile, the early development of economy with resource consuming and ecology destruction had threatened the human living environment, because of this, human had to look for the proper way to survive and develop, and environment protection and sustainable development were becoming common sense. Under this background, the ecological community which embodied not only the development of human requirement but also the ecology protection requirement had emerged. However, the studies of ecological community were still in the primary stage, the ideas and design of ecological community hadn't reached consensus.Under the basis of definite concept and meaning of ecological community, ecological flows (energy flow, matter flow and informational flow) had been introduced from the ecosystem angle in the paper. The integrated index system evaluating ecological community had been established from the angle of system structure, system function and the dynamic development process. Meanwhile, the design key point of inner environment in the ecological community which include ecological suitability, clean environment, convenient life, beautiful landscape, harmonious culture and high-efficient management; the design key point of sustainable development which include high efficient utilization of energy, reducing and recycling of resources, flowing and sharing of information had been established.As a case study, there are twenty communities in Karamay had been selected as the assessment objects in order to confirm the ideas and the indexes of ecological community established above. Single and integrated index assessment had been operated by collecting data from investigation questionnaire and correcting index system. Then the assessment results of every community had been analyzed and discussed.The results showed that ten communities had reached the standard of ecological community; nine communities had reached the standard of similar ecological community; one community had not reached the standard. These results were accord with the local situation, which illuminated that the index system could assess the state and the development trend of ecological community effectively as well as provided the information to satisfy the need of assessment.In order to realize the convenient and simple assessment of ecological community by network, an Assessment Information System combining with index system, dreamweaver software, ASP network language and ACCESS database language had been explored in the paper, the dynamic assessment of the ecological community were realized on internet too.
