The System Design For Multi-function Taxi Travelling Data Recorder On Central Decision Type

The system of multi-function taxi travelling data recorder on central decision type, is designed upon the idea of central decision type for the need of the taxi in city. The system includes auto's terminal and dispatch control center system. Both of the system's software and hardware are designed in accordance with the state standards (GB/T19056-2003). The auto's terminal, like a black box, set criterions on the drivers, make alarms in advance collect, save and transmit skeptical datum of the accident. The control center has the basic functions of analyzing,disposing and outputting the traveling datum. People can replay the traveling tracks of the vehicles and fix their positions in real time on the electronic transportation map. By setting the route attributes of the electronic transportation map, people can also confine the taxi's speed to the road's limit speed, control the peccancies of the taxi, fix their positions, watch and set early alarms in real time. With the opening of the citizens traveling hot-line, taxi can be dispatched, brings citizens with convenience, effectively avoid the vacancy of the taxi, smooth the traffic and reduce the pollution.Firstly, through the studies of the applications and development of the vehicle traveling data recorders in and abroad, with the reference of its state standards, the taxi's working conditions in Fuzhou, and the considerations of an unitive management and its market demand, the paper brings forward the system design idea and presents the main design projects of the auto's terminal and the control center.Secondly, the design of the auto's terminal for traveling data recorder adopts the embedded processor with ARM core and the embedded Linux system as a development platform. The auto's terminal can collect,dispose,save and transmit taxi's traveling datum in real time. It can also set advanced warnings,fix positions and display the datum whenever needed.Finally, the control center management system of the traveling data recorder has been designed and developed. It is kind of software matched with the auto's terminal to implement an information-based management on the information of the taxi companies and their taxi. The software was developed with Visual Basic as its platform and SQL Sever as its database. It can input, edit or delete the basic information of the taxi companies, taxi and the drivers. It can also statistically analyze the taxi's traveling datum and turn out a chart to illustrate which, provide the city taxi management sectors with an overall automatic management on the information of the taxi,drivers and the companies under the help of the recorder system. The system applies advanced techniques such as GPS,GIS,GPRS, and embeds an electronic transportation map in the center. Through the opening of the citizen service hot-line, the control center is able to fix the positions in real time, supervise from long distance, navigate and control etc.
