The object of this thesis is to investigate the attack-defense measures of ballistic missile during the boost phase, using simulation methods.Firstly, this thesis defines the coordinate system and the gravity field used in this article. Based on that, it carries out modeling and analysis about the attacking missile and defense missile, which gives the mobile features, velocity curve and trajectory of the attacking missile during its boost phase and the parametric demands and the guiding law of a successful interception for the intercepting missile as well. With carefully arranged simulation, it evaluates the performance of the intercepting missile during the whole process.Secondly it sets up a full-scale 3-D model of the attacking missile, makes a prediction of its radar cross section (or RCS) with the aid of physical-optical methods and the influence of main parameters on the RCS in consequence. It also calculates the intensity of infrared radiation of the plume of the attacking missile and gives a brief estimation according to the Plank's Law.Thirdly it builds a model for the sensors of the defensive side. With the research about the effects of RF's parameters on the trailing errors and with the calculation of noise ratio of IR signals, it acquires the details of location errors of the attacking missile caused by RF noises and IR noises. Guiding the intercepting missile with fused trailing data, it draws the influence curve of the sensors'errors on the vector miss-distance.In the final part, it evaluates the effectiveness of electronic attack in the missile's boost phase and the influence of quick burning rocket engine. It studies the effect of decoys and their velocity/acceleration and ballistic features. It simulates the influence of decoy-releasing time and sensor recapturing time on the vector miss-distance. It studies the efficiency of noise jamming, calculating the influence of jammer power and band width on the sensor's trailing errors, and furthermore, it draws the influence curve of jammer power on the vector miss-distance. Finally it studies the features of the attacking missile and the intercepting one during the whole intercepting process while the attacking one using the quick burning rocket engine, and gets the corresponding vector miss-distance in turn.
