Special-shaped R.C. column and short-leg shear wall (they are called as special-shaped component all in this paper) are new forms of the structure. The theoretical research to which is still in exploring and perfecting stage now. Based the experiments of Guangxi University, which were studied for the bearing capacity of the reinforced concrete inequiaxial L-shaped component several years ago, this paper choose ANSYS as the desk of nonlinear finite element analysis, and choose appropriate material models, stress-strain relationship and failure criteria according to the purposes of analysis. Choose nine members to conduct a test , simulate their failure, reveal the distribution of the stress and strain on right section in theory and study their failure modes. The research shows that, When the axial force and biaxial bending common role, the cross-section of L-shaped members is consistent with the hypothesis of plane cross-section of average strain, and the neutral axis is straight. By drawing the load-strain curves of nodes, solving load capacity, descripting component failure and comparing with experimental results, the results show that they are agree with each other well. Then use the related curve of N-M and M_x -M_y of the L-shaped cross-section components to study the affection by the different ratio of limb-length to thicknes, strength of the concrete, load angle and stress ration to the section bearing capacity. Finally establish a structure with the ratio of limb-length is 4 to 8 by using PKPM, analyze the differences of the earthquake cycle, the apex displacement, the internal forces of the components and the end of the reinforcement by way of special-shaped R.C. column and short-leg shear wall respectively,to do further research on the reasonable classification limit for special-shaped R.C. column and short-leg shear wall.
