| Z-shaped column can raise useful area availably, meet the needs of external features and functional arrangement, It is widely used in the residential structure of architecture in china, but currently, researches on Z-shaped column are insufficient, moreover, correlative data and conclusions are absent. Therefore, there is no unified design method in engineering field. By the experimental study of6Z-shaped columns subjected to biaxially eccentric compression, this dissertation reveals the failure pattern of Z-shaped column for us. It also confirmed the assumption of plane cross-section, and summarized the general regularity about ultimate bearing capacity of Z-shaped concrete columns.On the basis of test, through the synthetic analysis on both crack expanding conditions and failure modes, the press failure mechanism and discipline are researched, the discrepancy on carrying capacity between Z-shaped column and other special shaped columnsã€rectangular-shaped column was obtained, the factors such as:reinforcement percentage and directions of bending moment, which affect the press-resistant carrying capacity of Z-shaped column, was preliminary analyzed. Finaly, basing on some solutions from the software "ANSYS" which builded on the finite element method, a further contrastive study with the experiments was accomplished, and some suggestions to engineering design were maded. |
