With the growing demand for the energy all over the world, graduallydisappearing of the conventional energy sources such as fossil fuel, and the growingproblem of the environment pollution, human is paying more and more attention tothe use of renewable energy. As a kind of green energy, wind energy has become thefocus of the attention. The technology also becomes research hotspot of manyscholars. At present, there are gaps between China and developed countries inresearch on wind turbine of many advanced wind turbine technologies, such as highpower capacity, variable-pitch control and variable speed constant frequency etc.With the developing of high power capacity wind turbine, variable-pitch wind turbineis getting increasing recognition for its characteristics of high-efficiency andpracticability. In all, in research of variable-pitch control system of wind turbineand its driven mechanism has very important meaning.This paper expands its research on variable-pitch control system of windturbine based on the controller of system designing and computer simulationtechnology. Firstly, the variable-pitch control theoretical basis is put forward byresearch on wind turbine aerodynamic characteristics and is proved rationally bymodel simulation. Because variable-pitch control system of wind turbine has strongnonlinear, multivariable, and other characteristics, if control with the PID, is highlydifficult to achieve good performance. With the intelligent control applying in theresearch on variable-pitch control system such as the Fuzzy theory and neuralnetworks, combining Fuzzy control technology with PID is proposed in this paper. Inresearch process this paper designed detailed studies on Fuzzy-PID controller ofvariable-pitch control system of wind turbine, and design two kind of controller for it.And then, the system is simulated by Matlab. Compared with sole PID or Fuzzycontroller, Fuzzy-PID controller can make a more satisfied result.Nowadays, only a few research on the mechanism of wind turbine, as a importantpart of wind turbine it is necessary to research on the mechanism. Therefore thispaper introduces Virtual Prototype technology and computer simulation technology.The variable-pitch control mechanism of wind turbine is built by using Pro/E and then dynamic simulation is completed by ADAMS.Offering one feasible method forthe mechanism optimization design.
