Research On The Mineral Cities Development And The Evolution Of Spatial Structure In Liaoning Province

Mineral cities are national bases of fuel and raw material. And they are major city type of our country. Mineral cities set up for mine or springed up for mine. At present, our country is in the great period of making the transition with the society, culture and ecology, etc. Therefore, many problems have been raised in some mineral cities, and a few mineral cities have gotten into trouble and serious economic & social conflicts. Liaoning province is district in which mineral problems are concentration. from the viewpoint which is familiar to urban geography, that is city's regional structure, author analyzes on elements which restrict sustainable development of mineral cities. according to research of industrialization in the mineral region and the evolution of urban spatial structure, author points out a general model and feature of the evolution of mineral region and mineral cities spatial structure, considers the urban spatial structure evolution is decided in economical evolution and the city function transformation in the different stratification of the region, meanwhile evaluating the classical model of regional development and putting forward the the proposal and the policy of the development of urban spatial structure.
