The Design And Development Of Intelligent Communication Module For Circuit Breaker Based On Profibus-DP

A controller with perfect performance is required for intelligent circuit breaker,in addition to the required high rupture capacity,high sort-term tolerance and good operation performance.The intelligent controller with microprocessor has muti-function of detection and communication.It's an economical and effective way to realize electric quality monitoring and control by using Profibus fieldbus technique. The drive element and the execution element that are based on Profibus-DP fieldbus are widly developed and used,so a new type of control system with Profibus fieldbus interface is proposed, which employs the merits of fieldbus,saves the earlier investment of users and improves on primary control system of intelligent circuit breaker.Firstly, this paper describes the current research situation and development trend of communicable circuit breaker technique,points out the limitations of current test systems and the theme's research meaning,especially mainly studys on how to realize PROFIBUS protocol ,Intelligent controller technique and protocol data transform technique by RS-485 bus. Secondly, this paper introduces the design of physical layer,field data link layer , hardware connection and software of the interface module detailedly,in order to realize the function of configration, connection among different devices and the mangement of devices in fieldbus system for the future development. Thirdly,the design of intelligent control module for circuit breaker, is proposed in this paper, according to the technical demands of Profibus-DP and intelligent controller for low-voltage circuit breaker. It describes how to realize Profibus-DP communication by using P89C51 and communication interface chip(SPC3) in terms of hardware and softwar, tells how to design hardware and software of communication transformation between the communication interface module of Profibus-DP fieldbus and the user module of intelligent circuit breaker controller, and gives the main technique index of Profibus-DP. At last,we obtain system's test data by debugging and detecting the whole system module,and analyse the result.The research on this theme realizes Profibus-DP communication of intelligent control module for circuit breaker,and has operation significance for long-distance supervisory and control of circuit breaker. The system has the ability to deal with the intelligent devices or distributed I/O equipments in field, which accord with the specification of PROFIBUS , and the modularization scheime in design shows system's openness adequately. The design in this paper offers an effective approach for realizing data collection and communication of intelligent circuit breaker.
